Hi all...
The DE is double the toll and has 560 features compared to the ES with 417...but are these features worth information technology...are they even allowed in A level examinations?

whatever those features are they are not needed for standard A level maths.
You tin can get an ES Plus for almost £fifteen, so I don't actually empathise what yous are agonising over with so many threads on this topic.....

You would need to cheque with your exam board, but back when I did my A-Levels (a few years agone) it used say 'your calculator must not exist capable of symbolic algebra manipulation'.
I do not believe that includes numerical integration - and then you should be fine. However, at that place is no need for such lavish calculators. This one will practise but fine.
I hope that helps.

Could anyone tell me the difference between the fx991ES and the fx991ES plus? I saw one of my students with a plus model today and after a quick glance, couldn't notice whatsoever differences between that and the model I have (fx991ES).

Further Maths likewise?
The fx-991ES PLUS is a brill calculator i can simply recommend it. For SQA Advanced Highers it it fantastic to bank check if your integration/unequal is right and for circuitous numbers. The computer seems to accept a half decent processor/ram so information technology does not seem to lag when typing in long equations, which my old Casio did. If you are planning to further your maths at university, i would salvage up and purchase the Ti-84 plus.
There is no difference between the ES and DE, ane is just German language and the other English!
If you are unsure if you are allowed it in exams, ask your head of dept.
The Casio FX-991ES PLUS provides all you demand and more than for Maths and Further Maths

At that place's hardly aything between the ii calculators - apart from maybe you could argue the plus looks better .
Expect, really endeavor doing a quadtratic (or cubic) on the plus and then on the other 1. Sometimes you may observe the older version will be unable to give solutions to equations in surd form, whereas the plus can. I recall mostly the plus is better at recognising surds than the other. Only deviation I could find.

As far as I can tell, the huge range of Casio scientific calculators - many with tiny differences from ane another - is designed solely to exasperate teachers like ourselves.

I think the plus has a recurring decimal button where the standard does not... very useful
The 991ES plus doesn't accept the recurring decimal button, which is really inconvenient!
