I have successfully installed dd-wrt v24preSP2 build 18024 on Vodafone easybox 803a.
It looks ok, except it is a trial?!? I employ this device at home, shouldn't dd-wrt be gratis for such utilise? Problem is i can't connect to ADSL considering i can't setup VPI/VCI. Device gets connected to dslam, simply pppoe connection wont.
I saw that for buffalo WBMR-HP-G300H at that place is build 18026 which have VPI/VCI settings in webgui. Where can i download build 18026 for Vodafone Easybox 803a? Or how to actuate dd-wrt so i can have shell access to device and try to set up VPI/VCI from there? Thanks! | |

I flashed that uboot from "manufactory" brn loader over serial ( press space 3 times to enter debug mode of brn, than enter ! for more options, and upload to flash over xmodem)
One time uboot is flashed i accept more options for flashing provided paradigm (uImage.bin)
- over http recovery page of uboot or
- over tftp (i prefer this, seems like information technology is faster than other methods) or
- over ten/y modem I first flashed uImage.bin, rebooted and than reflashed from dd-wrt with vodafone_easybox_803-webflash-firmware.bin Wifi works groovy
usb run into wink disk but i dont know how to mount it from webui (or perchance i can't considering it is trial)
Equally i sorry, adsl is upwardly, but i cant establish a pppoe connexion.
Lan also works good
Leds are not configured corectly, they are all on (some bluish, some crimson) At present, would you lot endeavor to answer some of my questions from first mail? Thanks! | |

2nd: if you want a newer dd-wrt build, y'all have to compile it yourself or expect for a newer build. in fact, dd-wrt cannot handle built in adsl modems, the Buffalo unit is first try some screenshots may assistance place your dd-wrt version and so on.

That DSL line settings has been included for the Buffalo doesn't necessarily mean that they at present are included in the Vodafone build.. You ought to be able to get crush access through the same serial ttl panel you use for U-Boot kicking logging or via an ethernet console connection (telnet), both of them utilise to be enabled in dd-wrt. The build is prolly a trial build, the unit is non listed in dd-wrt's router database, nor in the Supported Devices wiki page, the builds appeared suddenly in the dd-wrt firmware ftp around one and a half month ago without any notice in the forum.

Well the ane i got here: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2011/12-twenty-11-r18024/vodafone_easybox_803/ is trial. I desire just r18026 because in that revision are added VPI/VCI settings.
I could attempt to build it myself, simply as i can see information technology is not easy task, merely if everything else fails... I tried to unpack fw with firmware-mod-kit and change those r18026 changes by hand, but image gets corupted when i rebuild information technology. I tin can flash it back, only subsequently kernel loads device enter in reset loop. I judge i could make this changes manual if i had ssh access, merely i still don't. Possibly buffalo is the first one, but i tell you it works on easybox 803A as well, as you tin see on screen shots beneath. Perchance even other danube based router/modem will work. I could also wait for new builds to apear on ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/ @LOM
As you can come across to a higher place, it exist. And it is not for buffalo as name of the file is vodafone_easybox_803-webflash-firmware.bin
EDIT: Sorry LOM, you said 18026 and i somehow saw 18024  You are right, there is no 18026 for EB 803A, yet. 18026 changes are no platform specific equally i can see, they are mutual for whatsoever xDSL device that may come in the future. I am able to arrive uboot via serial, and i can see begining of booting dd-wrt, just equally kernel gets loaded output to serial gets merely foreign symbols. I also got this behaviour when i had openwrt on it and on arv4518pw, also danube device. ssh, telnet, and ftp all gets rejected by dd-wrt when i try to connect to them. I approximate it is considering build i constitute is trial. I run across that information technology is not on the supported routers listing and no word for easybox on wiki, here on forum situation is no meliorate, but i don know why. Clearly, it should exist on supported device list.
Yes, i looked on ftp . It apeared in build r17967 on 07.12.2011. eleven:10:00. Over again, why it is keept "secret" i dont know. I institute all this 2 days agone. Whatsoever tip how to solve my problems without rebuilding from source myself? Usb storage is working, merely i cant connect to ftp mount (considering of trial?)
Samba seems to work. I see ddwrt workgroup that i have created, only deceit access any shares (considering of trial?)
WiFi is working. DD-WRT makers, be kind plenty and provide non trial version for people, so we tin examination all the features. Thanks! | |
